Well folks we are half way through the mission! The weather seems to be cooler at nights, but it is still warm and muggy in the day. A lot cooler here than down town in Heber. We have 3 more weeks of young women, then we will be doing something else. I look forward for a new change. We still come home every day exhausted, we pull out the Marie Calendar pies or T.V. dinners, were just too tired to cook. I see why all the Missionaries always except the invitations from the young women leaders to come and have dinner with them. We have a hard time going because after Gary got hepatitis at Boy Scout camp, he is very leary of all the hands preparing the food. We did accept one time when we knew who the cook was, he was a BYU chef and he invited all the Missionaries for every meal that was very nice of him and even then we made sure that we were first in line, before all the rest of the finger licking people came along. The girls sang us a few beautiful songs and they were sweet to let us go first in line as well. Gary is apart of the animal kingdom down on his challenge course, he has a way of calling all of the animals. Just the other morning when I went down to the course there was Gary with 2 bucks right next to him, I could not believe that they just sat there next to him while he was putting up the belay ropes! We have several pictures and they still did not mind. I really thought I was at the zoo for a moment. We also have a lovely badger running around the trailer, they are quite large in size and I am sure he is helping eat the pot gut population. Huge big pot guts everywhere, yesterday one got caught in our neighbors engine and guts and parts went every where. The next morning no sign of blood guts or anything! The critters eat each other, yum yum. All of the Missionaries are trying to convince us of coming back next year, they tell us the young women need us because they like our humor and we make the challenge course fun and exciting. I tell them that my mom and dad need us worse. They still think we will change our minds. In a few years when the kids get a little older maybe then we will go on another mission were thinking it would be nice to go to Nauvoo. A young lady here that served in Nauvoo last year, said that she thought we would be the perfect couple to serve there and be apart of the play that the Missionaries put on each night. She said with you two being so funny, you would still the show! As all of you know, Shawn had another surgery this past week. We have just went down to visit him and he seems in real good spirits! Hope after the bandages come off, that he will be pleased. We hope he does not need another surgery, after this close call. We hope every one has had a wonderful 24th of July, and that we look forward to next year going to the property where we have a lot of fun and excitement planned for all of our little rascals!
